Henry (Hank) Aaron, a celebrated American professional baseball player, is best known for surpassing Babe Ruth’s all-time home run record with a total of 755 home runs, making him one of the greatest baseball players in history. Aaron holds multiple MLB records, including the most career runs batted in (RBIs), extra base hits, and total bases, as well as ranking third in all-time career hits and fifth in runs scored. As one of only four players to achieve at least 17 seasons with 150 or more hits, Aaron was a 25-time All-Star and received three Gold Glove awards. In 1982, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Aaron was a civil rights advocate, working to promote equal opportunities for African Americans and receiving numerous awards for his efforts. He passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 86.
