Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer Claire Elise Boucher, known as Grimes, is recognized for her innovative music that fuses pop, electronic, and experimental elements. She gained fame with her albums “Visions” and “Art Angels” and has collaborated with renowned artists like Janelle Monae and M.I.A. In 2013, she received the Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. Some of her other notable works include “Halfaxa”, “Geidi Primes”, and “Miss Anthropocene”. Grimes’ synesthesia, which causes her to associate colors with sounds and musical keys, significantly influences her music. She adopted the stage name Grimes in 2007 when she started writing music, as MySpace allowed artists to list three musical genres at the time.
