George Sear is a British actor best known for his portrayal of Benji Campbell in the CBBC series “The Worst Witch” (2017-2019) and Nick Nelson in the Netflix series “Heartstopper” (2020). He began acting at a young age, appearing in short films and television shows before gaining recognition for his role in “The Worst Witch.”
Sear’s breakthrough came in 2020 when he landed the lead role in “Heartstopper,” a coming-of-age LGBTQ+ drama based on the webcomic of the same name. His portrayal of Nick Nelson, a high school student who comes to terms with his sexuality and falls in love with his classmate, Charlie Spring, earned him critical acclaim and a BAFTA TV Award nomination for Best Actor.
Sear’s other notable works include appearances in the BBC series “Our Girl” (2018) and the Netflix series “The Innocents” (2018). He has also appeared in the film “Reefa” (2018).
