He gained prominence in the 1970s as the creator of the iconic TV sitcom “Happy Days” and later directed popular films such as “Pretty Woman” and “The Princess Diaries.” Marshall’s other significant works include “Runaway Bride,” “Valentine’s Day,” and the TV shows “Mork & Mindy” and “Laverne & Shirley.” In 1997, he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the industry.
