Fred Williamson, a former professional American football player, transitioned into a successful career as an actor, director, writer, and producer. He rose to fame as one of the pioneering African-American male action stars in the “blaxploitation” genre during the early 1970s. Some of his most renowned works include “Black Caesar”, “Hell Up in Harlem”, and “Three the Hard Way”. In addition to these films, Williamson has appeared in mainstream movies such as “M*A*S*H” and “From Dusk Till Dawn”. With numerous directing and producing credits under his belt, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Other notable projects include “Starsky & Hutch”, “The Inglorious Bastards”, and “That Man Bolt”.
