Frank Silva was a talented American set decorator, art director, and actor, best known for his eerie portrayal of the demonic entity BOB in David Lynch’s cult TV series “Twin Peaks”. He also collaborated with Lynch on films such as “Blue Velvet” and “Wild at Heart” and worked on the art direction for the popular sitcom “The A-Team”. Before his film career, Silva served as a Green Beret in the United States Army. He later pursued his passion for the arts, finding success in the film industry. In addition to his on-screen work, Silva was a skilled carpenter and furniture maker, crafting custom pieces for Lynch’s home and other industry professionals. Despite facing racial barriers in the 1950s and 1960s, Silva, a successful black actor and director, transcended race and ethnicity in his performances. He passed away in 1995 at the age of 44.
