Ferruccio Lamborghini (28 April 1916 â 20 February 1993) was a multifaceted Italian personality, known for his work as an automobile designer, soldier, inventor, mechanic, engineer, winemaker, industrialist, and businessman. In 1948, he established Lamborghini Trattori, and in 1963, he founded Automobili Lamborghini, a high-end sports car manufacturer based in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Some of his most renowned creations include the Lamborghini 350 GT, Miura, Countach, Diablo, and the Sian, which was the first Lamborghini hybrid introduced in 2020. In addition to his automotive achievements, Lamborghini also contributed to the production of heating and air conditioning systems for buildings. As a skilled winemaker, he produced a high-quality red wine called “Trescone” on his estate in Umbria, Italy.
