Fayard Antonio Nicholas (October 20, 1914 â January 24, 2006) was an accomplished American choreographer, dancer, and actor. Together with his younger brother Harold Nicholas, they formed the renowned Nicholas Brothers tap dance duo, celebrated for their extraordinary acrobatic style. The duo rose to fame with their performances in various MGM musicals, including An All-Colored Vaudeville Show (1935), Stormy Weather (1943), The Pirate (1948), and Hard Four (2007). Additionally, they appeared in other notable films such as Down Argentine Way, Sun Valley Serenade, and Orchestra Wives. The Nicholas Brothers were widely recognized as one of the greatest dance teams in history.
