Ethan Hawke rose to prominence with his role as Jesse in the films ‘Before Sunrise’ (1995), ‘Before Sunset’ (2004), and ‘Before Midnight’ (2013). He also wrote two novels: ‘The Hottest State’ (1996) and ‘Ash Wednesday’ (2002).
Since then, Hawke has continued to star in critically acclaimed films such as ‘Boyhood’ (2014), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and ‘First Reformed’ (2017). He has also had a successful career in television, winning a Golden Globe Award for his role in the miniseries ‘The Good Lord Bird’ (2020).
In addition to his acting career, Hawke is also a published author, musician, and co-founder of the Malaparte Theatre Company in New York City.
