Elle Varner, an American singer-songwriter, gained prominence in the early 2010s. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to a musical family and raised in Los Angeles, she attended New York University’s Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music. In October 2009, Varner signed with RCA Records and released her debut album, “Perfectly Imperfect,” in 2012. The album, which peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 chart, featured her Grammy-nominated single “Refill.” Varner has also written and produced songs for artists such as Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, and Diddy-Dirty Money, and collaborated with J. Cole, Chance the Rapper, and Wale on various projects. Some of her other notable works include “Only Wanna Give It to You,” “I Don’t Care,” and “Rover.” In 2013, she received a BET award for Best New Artist. Notably, Varner hails from a family of talented singers and songwriters.
