She supported her husband, King George VI, during his reign from 1936 to 1952 and held the title of the last Empress of India until 1947. Following her husband’s passing, she became known as Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. Renowned for her steadfast support throughout WWII, she played a significant role in uplifting British morale and was a patron of numerous charities. Additionally, she was a talented amateur actress and established the Castle of Mey trust to foster the arts in Scotland. Elizabeth The Queen Mother passed away in 2002 at the age of 101.
