Elisabeth Sladen, an English actress, gained fame for her iconic portrayal of Sarah Jane Smith in the popular British science fiction television series, Doctor Who. Starting her acting journey in the 1960s, she appeared in numerous TV shows and films before securing the role of Sarah Jane, which made her one of the show’s most enduring and beloved characters. Sladen also starred in a spin-off series, The Sarah Jane Adventures, which lasted for five seasons. Her performance in the TV drama serial Gulliver in Lilliput earned her a Royal Television Society Award. Other notable works include Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, Coronation Street, and Alice in Wonderland.
