Eli Vance, a prominent figure in the Half-Life series, particularly in Half-Life 2 and its episodic sequels, continues to play a pivotal role in the resistance against the alien Combine forces occupying Earth. Once a scientist at Black Mesa Research Facility, Eli was involved in the fateful experiment that led to the alien invasion. Though he lost a leg in the Black Mesa Incident, he now utilizes a prosthetic limb. As a mentor to the series’ protagonist, Gordon Freeman, and father to Alyx Vance, another key character, Eli’s significance in the Half-Life universe remains undiminished.
