Edward Van Halen, a renowned American guitarist and songwriter, co-founded the rock band Van Halen with his brother Alex Van Halen, Michael Anthony, and David Lee Roth in the early 1970s. He revolutionized rock music in the late 1970s and early 1980s with his innovative guitar playing and signature tapping technique. In 2007, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and ranked eighth on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.

Apart from his work with the band, Edward collaborated with Michael Jackson on the iconic guitar solo for the song “Beat It.” He also played the piano on some of Van Halen’s popular songs, including “Jump,” “Right Now,” and their cover of The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me.”

Edward’s contributions to the entertainment industry went beyond music. He made a cameo appearance in the film “Back to the Future,” scored a porn film, and appeared in the TV show “Two and a Half Men.”

Edward Van Halen passed away on October 6, 2020, leaving a legacy as one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
