Edward Joseph Mahoney, known professionally as Eddie Money, was an American rock singer and songwriter celebrated for his dynamic stage presence and memorable, guitar-driven tunes. He rose to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s with chart-topping hits such as “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Take Me Home Tonight.” Money had a total of eleven Top 40 songs during this time, including three No. 1 hits on the Mainstream Rock Songs radio airplay chart. Besides his music career, he made guest appearances on television shows like “The Drew Carey Show” and “King of Queens.” In 2008, Money was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
