Ed Ames, an American actor, singer, and voice artist, gained recognition for his role as Mingo in the television series “Daniel Boone” and as the Indian chief in the film “The War Wagon.” As a member of the singing group The Ames Brothers, he showcased his deep-toned baritone voice. Ames also appeared on “The Ed Sullivan Show” and starred in the film “The Carpetbaggers.” Additionally, he lent his voice to King Arthur in the animated film “The Sword in the Stone.” Unfortunately, Ames passed away on May 21, 2023, at the age of 95 due to Alzheimer’s disease.
