Sidney Onoriode Esiri, widely known as Dr SID, is a renowned Nigerian singer, songwriter, and dentist. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, he has significantly contributed to the popularization of Afro-pop music since beginning his career in 2004. With four studio albums under his belt, Dr SID is famous for hits like “Over the Moon,” “Surulere,” and “Something About You,” as well as his involvement in producing numerous other successful songs. His stage name, derived from a childhood nickname given by his elder brother, incorporates both his music and dental professions with the “Dr” prefix.

In addition to his musical accomplishments, Dr SID is recognized for his humanitarian efforts, particularly in advocating for oral health in Nigeria.
