Donna Summer, often referred to as the “Queen of Disco,” was a groundbreaking American singer-songwriter who left a lasting impact on the music industry. She rose to fame with iconic hits such as “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff,” and “Bad Girls,” as well as the chart-topping “MacArthur Park Suite.” Throughout her career, Summer consistently dominated the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. In addition to her musical accomplishments, she was a dedicated philanthropist, establishing the Donna Summer and Bruce Sudano Foundation and actively participating in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Sadly, Summer passed away in 2012 due to lung cancer.
