Sir Donald George Bradman, AC, also known as “The Don” (27 August 1908 รขยย 25 February 2001), was an esteemed Australian international cricketer. He is often regarded as the greatest batsman in the history of the sport, with some, like Shane Warne, even considering him the “greatest sportsperson” ever. Bradman’s remarkable achievements include his extraordinary Test match batting average of 99.94 and his participation in notable matches such as the 1930 Ashes series and the Bodyline series. A prolific author, he wrote several books on cricket, including “The Art of Cricket” and “Farewell to Cricket.” In recognition of his contributions to cricket, Bradman was knighted in 1949.
