Created by William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter, Wonder Woman first appeared in All Star Comics #8 in 1941. The daughter of Queen Hippolyta and Zeus, the King of the Gods, Diana was born and raised on the hidden island of Themyscira. Trained to be a warrior and a diplomat, she left her home to fight for justice and peace in the world of man.
As a member of the Justice League, Wonder Woman has saved the world countless times from threats such as Ares, the God of War, and Darkseid, the ruler of Apokolips. She has also worked as an ambassador for the Amazons and as a liaison between the gods and humanity.
Diana is a kind and compassionate person who is always willing to help others. She is also a fierce warrior and a powerful leader. With her Lasso of Truth, indestructible bracelets, and projectile tiara, she is a formidable force for good.
Wonder Woman is the only female member of the Justice League’s founding members and the first female superhero to have her own comic book series. She has been portrayed by several actresses in live-action films and television shows, including Lynda Carter, Gal Gadot, and Adrianne Palicki.
