Derek Jones, a renowned musician and guitarist, was best known for his role as the rhythm and lead guitarist in the American post-hardcore band Falling in Reverse. He played a significant part in the band’s most notable works, such as the albums ‘The Drug in Me Is You’ and ‘Fashionably Late’. As a highly talented and influential guitarist in the rock genre, Jones achieved considerable success throughout his music career.
Before joining Falling in Reverse, Jones was a guitarist for the American band A Smile From the Trenches. In 2010, he was discovered by Ronnie Radke and Nason Schoeffler and subsequently joined Falling in Reverse. Jones also had a keen interest in graphic design, which was evident in the band’s album artwork and merchandise.
Sadly, on April 21, 2020, Derek Jones passed away at the age of 35, with the cause of his death remaining unknown. His bandmate Ronnie Radke confirmed the news and expressed his heartbreak over the loss. Jones was remembered for his exceptional talent and significant contributions to the music industry. Notably, he was the founding guitarist and often co-lead vocalist for Falling in Reverse.
