After her successful stint at UNLV, Dakota transferred to the University of Connecticut (UConn), one of the most prestigious women’s basketball programs in the NCAA. During her time with the Huskies, she showcased her exceptional skills and leadership, helping the team reach the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen in her freshman year and the Elite Eight in her sophomore season.
Dakota’s talent and hard work paid off when she was selected as the 5th overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever. In her rookie season, she made an immediate impact, averaging 10.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, earning her a spot on the WNBA All-Rookie Team.
