Crystal Lee, an accomplished American classical pianist and beauty pageant titleholder, rose to prominence in 2013 when she won the Miss California title and represented the state in the Miss America pageant. In addition to her beauty queen accomplishments, Lee has demonstrated her piano expertise at a professional level, performing at events like the San Francisco International Piano Festival and the National Finals of the Music Teachers National Association. Her other notable achievements include serving as a cultural ambassador to Japan, playing for the Monterey Symphony, and appearing on the cover of ‘Piano and Keyboard’ magazine.
Lee is also recognized for her advocacy work, volunteering with non-profit organizations such as Reading Partners, Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. She has been actively involved in promoting HIV/AIDS awareness and has been acknowledged for her efforts by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
In September 2021, Lee made headlines when she was arrested for assault during a dispute over not wearing her face mask. She was sentenced to two weeks in jail and fined HK$5,000 (S$90.60) in March of that year.
