Courtney Taylor-Taylor, an American musician and songwriter, is best known as the frontman of the alternative rock band The Dandy Warhols. The band, recognized for their hit single “Bohemian Like You” and unique psychedelic sound, has released 10 studio albums since its inception in 1994. Throughout his career, Taylor-Taylor has collaborated with various artists, including David Bowie and Mark Lanegan. Besides his musical pursuits, he is also a published author and graphic novelist. Taylor-Taylor attended Sunset High School in Beaverton before studying sociology, psychology, and music at Cascade College in Portland. Some of his notable works include the albums “Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia” and “Welcome to the Monkey House,” as well as collaborations with David Bowie on “We Are the Dead” and Mark Lanegan on “Bubblegum.” Taylor-Taylor has synesthesia, a neurological condition that enables him to “see” songs as colors, influencing his creative process.
