Courtney Love was an actress and singer considered by many as a major figure in the punk and grunge scenes during the 90s. She gained public attention with her relationship with Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Her film works included ‘The People vs. Larry Flynt’, ‘Man on the Moon’, and ‘Trapped’.
Her stage name Courtney Love was taken from her mother calling her “Courtney, love” as a child. Later on, she changed her legal name to Courtney Michelle Cobain, taking on the surname of her late lover Kurt Cobain.
