Cliff Williams, an English musician, gained prominence as the bassist and backing vocalist for the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. He joined the group in 1977, and his debut studio album with them, Powerage, was released in 1978. Williams played a significant role in AC/DC’s success, contributing to their 12th album, Rock or Bust, in 2014. As a member of the band, he was inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2021, after nearly four decades with AC/DC, Williams announced his retirement.
