Claire Richards, born August 17, is an Irish pop singer and songwriter best known for her time with the chart-topping pop group Steps. The group’s debut album, “Step One,” released in 1998, achieved multi-platinum success, and they had several hit singles, including “5, 6, 7, 8,” “Tragedy,” and “One for Sorrow.” Steps disbanded in 2001 but reunited in 2011 and have continued to release music and tour.
