Chuck Barris was a renowned American game show creator, producer, and host, most notably recognized for his work on “The Gong Show,” “The Dating Game,” and “The Newlywed Game.” In addition to his television career, he was a talented songwriter, composing the popular song “Palisades Park,” which was recorded by both Freddy Cannon and the Ramones. Barris authored an autobiography titled “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,” which was later adapted into a film directed by George Clooney. He passed away on March 21, 2017, at the age of 87.
