Chris Mears, a British diver and DJ/Producer from Burghfield Common near Reading, Berkshire, gained prominence for his diving achievements, most notably at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Alongside Jack Laugher, Mears secured a gold medal in the synchronised 3m springboard event, marking Team GB’s first-ever Olympic gold in diving. He also participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics and successfully defended his title with Laugher in the men’s 3m synchronised springboard event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. In 2019, Mears decided to retire from diving to concentrate on his music career.
