Charlotte Susan Jane Dujardin, a renowned British equestrian, rider, and writer, is widely acknowledged as the preeminent dressage rider of her time. As one of the most decorated female Olympians in British history, Dujardin has secured numerous World and Olympic championships. Her most notable accomplishments include winning gold medals at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games while riding her horse, Valegro. She has also claimed championship titles at the European and World Equestrian Games, the World Cup Final, and the FEI Nations Cup. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Dujardin further solidified her status as Britain’s most decorated female Olympian by earning a bronze medal in the individual Grand Prix freestyle. Before these achievements, she had already won the Horse of the Year Show four times and the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead three times by the age of 16.
