Charlie Murphy, an American actor, comedian, and writer, gained fame for his contributions to the comedy sketch TV series, Chappelle’s Show, particularly his renowned sketches in “Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories.” Unfortunately, he passed away at 57 after battling leukemia. Besides Chappelle’s Show, Charlie participated in movies and TV shows such as Harlem Nights, Night at the Museum, The Boondocks, and Black Jesus. He also wrote for various TV shows and was a successful stand-up comedian. Although he achieved success in acting, writing remained a passion for Charlie, as he continued to create and pitch his own projects throughout his career.
