Carl Michael Edwards Jr., an American former professional stock car racer, last competed in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for Joe Gibbs Racing. Throughout his career, Edwards secured 28 Cup race victories, including the 2015 Coca-Cola 600 and the 2014 Southern 500. He also claimed the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series championship and received the 2005 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year title. Edwards is recognized for his signature backflip celebration after winning races.
