Cara Buono is an American actress, screenwriter, and director who gained recognition for her roles in the AMC drama series Mad Men as Dr. Faye Miller, The Sopranos as Kelli Moltisanti, the comedy film Artie Lange’s Beer League as Linda Salvo, and the Netflix horror sci-fi series Stranger Things as Karen Wheeler. She has also appeared in various independent films such as Chutney Popcorn, Happy Accidents, Next Stop Wonderland, and Two Ninas, which she co-produced. Besides acting, Buono is a playwright, with her play “The Lonely” premiering in New York City in 2017. She began her acting career at a young age and has since ventured into screenwriting and directing.
