Brooke Henderson, a Canadian professional golfer, has been a top player on the LPGA Tour since turning pro in 2014. At 17, she won her first LPGA tournament, making her the tour’s third-youngest winner. Henderson has achieved numerous victories, including the Women’s PGA Championship in 2016, and has represented Canada in international competitions such as the Olympics and the Solheim Cup. She is also known for her charitable work, including her involvement with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
In 2015, Henderson began playing on the Symetra Tour, where she won her first professional tournament at the Four Winds Invitational. She also achieved her highest finish in a Major to date, placing T5 at the US Women’s Open. That same year, she set a tournament record with her 36-hole score at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic, surpassing the previous record by three shots.
Throughout her career, Henderson has received numerous accolades, including the Bobbie Rosenfeld Award for Canada’s best female athlete three times and the 2019 ESPY Award for best female golfer. She holds the distinction of being the youngest golfer to win a professional tournament at age 14 and the youngest to win the Canadian Women’s Open.
In 2023, Henderson became the first Canadian pro golfer to win the Evian Championship and the HUGEL Air Premia LA Open, making her the most successful Canadian golfer ever. Her popularity has grown significantly, and she is now considered one of the most popular golfers on the LPGA Tour.
Henderson’s sister, Brittany, is also a professional golfer who has played on the LPGA Tour. In 2017, the sisters made history by playing together in the Women’s World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, becoming the first sister duo to participate in an LPGA Tour event together in over 15 years.
