First appearing in the 1995 Disney/Pixar animated film *Toy Story*, Bo Peep, a porcelain shepherdess doll, is the love interest of Woody, the film’s protagonist. Created by Pixar animator Pete Docter, she was inspired by a porcelain doll owned by his grandmother.
Initially portrayed as a gentle and nurturing character, Bo Peep undergoes significant growth in *Toy Story 4* (2019), becoming a strong, independent, and resourceful figure after years of separation from the other toys.
Voiced by Annie Potts in the first two *Toy Story* films and Emily Hahn in *Toy Story 4*, Bo Peep remains a beloved character among fans. Despite being the only female main character in the franchise and one of the few non-toy characters, her impact on the series is undeniable.
