American actor Asher Angel made his acting debut at the tender age of five, portraying young Brad Jr. in the 2008 drama film ‘Jolene.’ Born with Hebrew first and middle names, Asher Dov, his passion for acting led him to secure a promise from his mother: if he completed 30 local shows, they would venture to Los Angeles for auditions. At age 12, his mother fulfilled her promise, and Angel landed the role of Jonah Beck in Disney Channel’s hit series ‘Andi Mack’ (2017-2019). This opportunity prompted his entire family to relocate to Utah to support his acting aspirations.
Since then, Angel has continued to captivate audiences with his exceptional talent. He starred in the 2019 film ‘Shazam!’ and is set to reprise his role in the upcoming sequel, ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ (2023). Additionally, he will grace the silver screen in the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of ‘The Little Mermaid’ (2023).
Beyond his acting prowess, Angel has garnered recognition for his philanthropic efforts. He actively supports various charitable organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Starlight Children’s Foundation. His commitment to giving back to the community further exemplifies his well-rounded character.
With his undeniable talent, charismatic personality, and unwavering dedication, Asher Angel continues to shine as a rising star in the entertainment industry.
