Andrew Yang, an American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and former 2020 presidential candidate, is well-known for advocating Universal Basic Income (UBI) and addressing the effects of automation on the workforce. He founded the nonprofit organization Venture for America and authored “The War on Normal People.” Yang has also held positions as the CEO of Manhattan Prep and a commentator on CNN, and he campaigned for the role of New York City mayor. Notably, he was among the first candidates to declare his intention to run in the 2020 presidential election.
