William Monahan, an American screenwriter and novelist, gained recognition for his Academy Award-winning screenplay for “The Departed” (2006). He has also written and directed films like “London Boulevard” (2010) and “Edge of Darkness” (2010). Recently, Monahan adapted J.R. Moehringer’s memoir into the feature film “The Tender Bar,” directed by George Clooney. Additionally, he has worked on projects such as “Mojave” (2015) and is currently writing the script for an upcoming Evel Knievel biopic.
