is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs men’s basketball team. He previously served as the head coach at Marquette University from 1999 to 2008 and Indiana University from 2008 to 2021.
Crean has led his teams to the NCAA Tournament 10 times, including Elite Eight appearances with Marquette in 2003 and Indiana in 2013. He has been named the Big East Coach of the Year twice (2003, 2007) and the Big Ten Coach of the Year once (2013).
Crean is known for his intense coaching style and his passion for the game of basketball. He is also known for his motivational speeches and his ability to connect with his players.
