Toby Love, a Puerto Rican-American singer, songwriter, and musician, is renowned for blending R&B and traditional bachata music. He rose to fame with his hit single “Tengo Un Amor” from his eponymous debut album. Love is responsible for popularizing the “crunkchata” subgenre, a fusion of bachata and crunk music. Before embarking on his solo career in 2006, he was a backup singer for the bachata band Aventura. Love has worked with artists such as Daddy Yankee and Pitbull and received a Latin Grammy nomination in 2011. Besides his musical pursuits, he has also appeared in films like “Dirty Laundry,” “El Cantante,” and “Boy Wonder.”
