Téa Leoni is an American actress best known for her roles as Dr. Elizabeth Corday on the NBC medical drama ER (1997â2008), as Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord on the CBS political drama Madam Secretary (2014â2019), and as Amy Abbott in the romantic comedy-drama film Deep Impact (1998).
Leoni has also starred in numerous films, including Jurassic Park III (2001), Spanglish (2004), and Tower Heist (2011). She has received three Golden Globe nominations and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for her work.
In addition to her acting career, Leoni is a certified scuba diver, fluent in Italian, and a supporter of the Democratic Party. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
