Steve Chen, a Taiwanese-American entrepreneur, co-founded the widely-used video-sharing platform, YouTube. He was instrumental in its early development, overseeing technical aspects and facilitating its rapid growth. Besides YouTube, Chen has contributed to other tech ventures, such as co-founding AVOS Systems, Inc., and creating the video-sharing app MixBit. In 2014, he joined Google Ventures. Chen received the Order of Lincoln, the highest honor in Illinois, and was inducted as a Laureate of The Lincoln Academy of Illinois in 2018. He is married to Park Ji-hyun, now known as Jamie Chen, and they have two children.
