Sadaharu Oh, also known as Wang Chen-chih, is a former baseball player and manager who was born in Japan. He spent 22 seasons playing for the Tokyo Yomiuri Giants in the Japanese Central League and is renowned as one of the greatest home run hitters of all time, holding the world lifetime home run record with 868 hits. Oh currently serves as the chairman of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. Among his other notable accomplishments are leading Japan to its first World Baseball Classic championship in 2006 as a manager and acting as a special advisor to the national team.
