Pam Grier is an American actress, best known for her roles in blaxploitation films of the 1970s such as “Foxy Brown” and “Sheba, Baby”. She has also appeared in mainstream films such as “Jackie Brown” (1997) and “In Too Deep” (1999). Grier is a two-time Golden Globe Award winner and a two-time NAACP Image Award winner. She was inducted into the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame in 2003.
In recent years, Grier has continued to act in films and television shows, including the TV series “The L Word” (2004-2009) and “Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child” (1995-2000). She has also appeared in several stage productions.
Grier is a practicing Buddhist and a vegan. She is also an advocate for women’s rights and social justice.
