Oliver Sim, born on June 14, 1990, is an English singer, composer, and musician hailing from London. He rose to fame as the co-lead vocalist and bassist for the indie band The xx, which gained international recognition with their 2009 Mercury Prize-winning debut album, “xx.” Sim has collaborated with various artists, including Drake, Jack Peñate, and Florence and the Machine, and has contributed to movie soundtracks and the ballet score for “Tree of Codes.” In 2022, he released his debut solo album, “Hideous Bastard,” featuring the popular song “Hideous.” Sim revealed in May 2022 that he has been living with HIV since the age of 17.
