Nancy Pelosi, the 13th most popular Democrat and 16th most popular politician, has been a prominent figure in US politics for decades and a leading female voice in the male-dominated Congress. With a long and distinguished political career, Pelosi has held the position of Speaker of the United States House of Representatives twice, first from 2007 to 2011 and then from 2019 to 2023. Hailing from a family of notable political figures, she was first elected to the House in 1987. Among her many accomplishments are her contributions to passing the Affordable Care Act, advocating for LGBTQ rights, and supporting women’s reproductive health. Pelosi is also an author, having written “Know Your Power: A Message to America’s Daughters.”
