Megan Draper (née Calvet), portrayed by Jessica Paré, is a prominent character in the AMC drama series “Mad Men” (2007-2015). Born in Montreal, Canada, Megan’s journey takes her from a secretary at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce to a copywriter and Don Draper’s wife. Her ambition to succeed as an actress often strains their relationship.
After studying English literature at McGill University, Megan moves to New York to pursue acting. While on tour with “Bye Bye Birdie,” she meets Don, leading to a long-distance romance. In New York, she balances acting with secretarial work at Don’s agency, eventually becoming his creative partner.
