Mandy Moore is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to fame in the late 1990s with her hit singles “Candy” and “I Wanna Be with You.” Moore has since released seven studio albums and starred in numerous films and television shows.
In addition to her music and acting career, Moore is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and an advocate for animal rights. She is a vegan and has worked with several animal welfare organizations.
Moore was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, on April 10, 1984. She began singing at a young age and took voice lessons from the age of six. She performed in local theater productions and talent shows, and at the age of 12, she was signed to a recording contract with Epic Records.
Moore’s debut album, “So Real,” was released in 1999 and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album’s lead single, “Candy,” reached number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
