Shipman’s journey took her to Santiago High School, where she excelled both academically and athletically, becoming a standout softball player for the Sharks.
After high school, Shipman’s talent earned her a spot at the prestigious University of Oklahoma Sooners, a powerhouse in collegiate softball. During her freshman season in 2021, she made an immediate impact, starting in all 56 games and showcasing her versatility as a utility player. Her exceptional performances were recognized with the Big 12 Freshman of the Year honor and a place on the All-Big 12 First Team.
Shipman’s success continued as she embarked on her professional softball career. In 2022, she made history by becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the Athletes Unlimited Softball Draft.
