James Joseph Parsons, an American actor, gained widespread recognition for his role as the socially awkward yet brilliant theoretical physicist, Dr. Sheldon Cooper, in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory, which aired from 2007 to 2019. His portrayal of this iconic character earned him numerous accolades, including four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy. Apart from The Big Bang Theory, Parsons has appeared in various other projects, such as Garden State, The Muppets, and Hollywood Game Night.
